Character Development

An important focus of the Kindergarten is our Character Development Programme.

The Character Development Programme at St Hilda’s Kindergarten aims to nurture children to develop positive self-esteem through an awareness that God has made each of them special. This is used as the foundation for developing the Christian attributes of loving, helping, sharing, caring and the Christian values of grace, integrity, respect for others and reverence for God.

The children come together daily to experience God’s love. During the daily Praise and Worship Session, they hear bible stories and are introduced to bible verses. They learn to thank God for the many blessings in their lives.

The Character Development Programme continues to be the focus in Victory Kids, a unique co-curricular programme run with St. Hilda's Church. Started in 2001, Victory Kids is a volunteer-run educationally fun programme for 4 to 8-year olds. With love, patience, understanding and compassion, Victory Kids taps on the natural inquisitiveness of children to explore and learn, and helps them to develop wholesome and desirable values.

Led by Miss Sheila Buckland, the Master Teacher and Head of Character Development of St. Hilda’s Kindergarten, and her team of dedicated volunteers. Victory kids strives to create a warm and loving environment in which the children learn to be self-reliant, to solve problems, develop interactive skills and discover their individual uniqueness. We also provide opportunities for children to grow spiritually, creatively, emotionally, mentally and physically. Victory Kids is a programme not to be missed!
